Product Description
ERNiCrMo-3 is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum solid welding wire compliant with AWS A5.14/A5.14M standards, primarily designed for welding INCONEL® 625 (UNS N06625) and similar nickel-based alloys. It features a robust composition with a minimum of 58.0wt.% nickel, 20.0-23.0wt.% chromium, 8.0-10.0wt.% molybdenum, and 3.15-4.15wt.% niobium plus tantalum. This filler metal is compatible with GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), SAW, and PAW processes, making it suitable for joining homogeneous alloys, dissimilar welding between stainless steels and nickel-based alloys, and for corrosion-resistant overlay cladding on steels. Its high alloy content ensures exceptional performance across a wide temperature range, from cryogenic to 1000°F (540°C).
Features
▪ Exceptional Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance: ERNiCrMo-3 provides outstanding resistance to a broad spectrum of corrosive media, particularly excelling in resisting pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC).It also demonstrates excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, ensuring the longevity of welded structures in aggressive environments.
▪ High Strength and Ductility: The weld metal exhibits high tensile strength, typically reaching 115,000 psi (790 MPa), combined with excellent ductility (45% elongation). This combination of properties allows the filler metal to match or exceed the mechanical performance of the base materials while maintaining structural integrity under stress.
▪ Broad Temperature Versatility: ERNiCrMo-3 is engineered for reliable service in environments ranging from cryogenic temperatures to moderately high temperatures up to 1000°F (540°C).Its stable microstructure prevents embrittlement and maintains toughness across this extensive range.
Applications
▪ ERNiCrMo-3 is widely utilized in critical sectors requiring high reliability and corrosion resistance:
▪ Marine & Offshore Engineering: Used for seawater cooling systems, offshore platform components, and submarine hardware exposed to marine environments.
▪ Chemical Processing: Ideal for reactors, heat exchangers, and piping systems handling both oxidizing and reducing acids.
▪ Energy Sector: Applied in power generation flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems and nuclear reactor components.
▪ Aerospace Industry: Utilized in engine exhaust systems, fuel lines, and hydraulic tubing where high-temperature strength is required.
