Product Description
ERNiCrWMo-1 is a high-performance nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum solid welding wire compliant with AWS A5.14/A5.14M standards, specifically designed for welding HAYNES® 230® (UNS N06231) and other heat-resistant alloys. It features a robust composition with nickel as the remainder,20.0-24.0wt.% chromium, 13.0-15.0wt.% tungsten, and 1.0-3.0wt.% molybdenum. This filler metal is compatible with GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes. It is an exceptional candidate for joining homogeneous alloys, dissimilar welding between various high-temperature alloys (such as UNS N06617), and for high-temperature corrosion-resistant overlay cladding.
Features
▪ Exceptional High-Temperature Strength and Oxidation Resistance: ERNiCrWMo-1 weld metal provides an outstanding combination of high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, maintaining its integrity at temperatures up to 2100°F (1150°C).The addition of tungsten and molybdenum provides significant solid-solution strengthening.
▪ Superior Long-Term Stability: The alloy is characterized by its excellent long-term thermal stability, ensuring that welded joints retain their mechanical properties and resistance to embrittlement during extended service at elevated temperatures. It also offers excellent resistance to nitriding environments.
▪ Excellent Fabricability and Weldability: ERNiCrWMo-1 is known for its smooth weld formation and consistent performance. The specialized RTW™ finish on spooled wire ensures reliable feeding through welding equipment and reduced contact tip wear, facilitating high-quality results in both manual and automated welding.
Applications
▪ ERNiCrWMo-1 is widely utilized in the most demanding high-temperature industrial sectors:
▪ Aerospace Industry: Used for gas turbine engine components, including combustion liners, transition ducts, afterburner parts, and flame holders.
▪ Power Generation: Ideal for high-temperature boiler components and internal parts for high-temperature gas-cooled reactors.
▪ Chemical Processing: Applied in high-temperature reactors, heat exchangers, and equipment handling aggressive gases where thermal stability is vital.
▪ Industrial Heating: Utilized in furnace muffles, retorts, and support structures exposed to extreme heat.
