Product Description

ERCuNiAl (Nickel-Aluminum Bronze) is a high-performance copper-aluminum-nickel alloy complying with multiple standards including AWS A5.7 C63280 (equivalent to ISO24373 Cu6328, GB/T9460 SCu6328, BS EN14640 Cu6328, DIN 1733 2.0923). Typical composition: Cu balance, 8.5-9.5% Al, 3.0-5.0% Fe, 0.6-3.5% Mn, 4.0-5.5% Ni. Features excellent strength, hardness, wear resistance, and outstanding seawater corrosion resistance. Suitable for TIG and MIG welding of nickel-aluminum bronze castings and forgings. Inert shielding gas (Ar) is required for welding applications.

Features

▪ High Strength: Tensile strength 450-560 MPa, Brinell hardness 150-170 HB, offering excellent mechanical properties.
▪ Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Outstanding resistance to seawater erosion, cavitation, and atmospheric corrosion.
▪ Good Wear Resistance: High hardness and wear characteristics suitable for demanding mechanical applications.
▪ High Temperature Resistance: Melting range 1015-1045°C with good high-temperature oxidation resistance.
▪ Non-Sparking: Does not produce sparks under impact, suitable for non-sparking tools in hazardous environments.
▪ Good Fabrication Properties: Excellent thermal conductivity, good machinability (20-30% cutting performance), and hot workability at 850-900°C.

Applications

▪ Marine Engineering: Ship propellers, turbine parts, valve bodies, pump components, and piping systems.
▪ Aerospace: Aircraft landing gear bushings, high-strength bearing sleeves, and structural components.
▪ Chemical Industry: Corrosion-resistant valves, pumps, and containers for acidic and alkaline environments.
▪ Tooling and Molds: Die materials for stainless steel forming, stretching, and rolling without sticking or scratching.
▪ Wear Components: Gear blanks, bearing weights, threaded parts, and wear-resistant surfaces.
▪ Dissimilar Metal Joining: Copper alloys to steel, aluminum bronze to carbon steel, and overlay welding on steel.

FAQS

图片名称

What is the difference between CuAl9Ni5 and CuAl10Fe3?

图片名称

CuAl9Ni5 contains 4.0-5.5% nickel with higher strength (450-560 MPa) and better seawater corrosion resistance. CuAl10Fe3 has higher aluminum content (9-11% Al) with 3.0-5.0% iron, offering good wear resistance but lower strength. CuAl9Ni5 is preferred for marine applications, while CuAl10Fe3 is suitable for general wear applications.

图片名称

What shielding gas is recommended for CuAl9Ni5 welding?

图片名称

Pure argon (Ar) or argon-helium mixtures are recommended for TIG and MIG welding. For large components, preheating to 150-200°C may be necessary to reduce thermal stress.

图片名称

What is the typical welding temperature for CuAl9Ni5?

图片名称

Melting range is 1015-1045°C. For TIG/MIG welding, use controlled heat input to avoid overheating. Gas welding is not recommended; if necessary, use a non-oxidizing flame.
