Description

This is an oxyfuel welding torch. Its core function is to generate a high-temperature flame by mixing and burning flammable gases (such as acetylene, propane, etc.) with oxygen, which is used for processing metals. In welding scenarios, by adjusting the ratio and flow rate of flammable gas to oxygen, the oxyfuel welding torch can produce a flame with a temperature of around 3000°C. This high-temperature flame melts the base metal (the metal to be welded) and filler wire, allowing the two to fuse and form a strong weld joint. Therefore, it is widely used in thin metal sheets (e.g., thin steel plates, copper-aluminum thin sheets) welding, pipeline maintenance, hardware product processing, and other fields. Tasks such as local repair of car bodies and connection of small metal components can all be efficiently completed with it. In addition to welding, the oxyfuel welding torch can also be used for metal cutting: it uses the high-temperature flame to melt a local part of the metal, then blows away the molten slag with a high-pressure oxygen stream to achieve cutting. It can also be used for metal preheating: heating a local area before welding large workpieces to reduce welding stress. It can even be involved in heat treatment processes, such as tempering the welded area to improve the mechanical properties of the metal. Compared with other welding tools, the oxyfuel welding torch has a relatively simple structure and excellent portability, and has low requirements for the working environment. Even in scenarios lacking electricity or during field operations, it can stably complete the connection and processing of metals, making it one of the indispensable basic tools in the field of metal processing and maintenance.
